I've decided to keep the aquatic plants in pots in the tank. Thanks to an article by Al Ridley I can.
Reasons:
a. I have no inclination to search out aquatic plant soil
b. Easier to move the plants about and propagate
c. I have a bucket of clean gravel that needs to go into the tank NOW!
